~ Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, A Scene In The Pine Forest
The battle with the Mouse King is over. The Mouse King was defeated when Clara distracted him long enough for the Nutcracker to strike the final blow, but the Nuctracker has also fallen. Clara turns away in grief, fearing the worst. But then, she feels a gentle touch on her hand, and there, her Nutcracker stands. No longer made of wood, he stands now as a handsome prince. She smiles sweetly as he gratefully kisses the hand of the lady who saved his life.
Snow begins to fall as they find themselves dancing together in a beautiful pine forest. The Snow Queen will soon be on her way to escort them to the Land of the Sweets.
I love The Nutcracker so much, and this is one of my favorite songs. And who better to cast in the roles of The Nutcracker and Clara than Gabriel and Sparrow.
