~ Dan Gibson, Driftwood
I fell in love with this song the moment I heard it; the whole album--Forest Cello--is a beautiful, serene experience. And as I began to picture imagery for it, there was Sapphyre in the middle of an autumn forest meeting and 'playing' with a deer. As each instrument takes the lead of the song, one of them swims downstream or leaps gracefully through the woods while the other, intrigued, follows along. It ends with geese flying away for the winter and the two watching them disappear before Sapphyre returns to her lake inlet and the deer looks on at the bank.
