She took a step down, smiling as she let her eyes drop a moment. "Sorry, I'm getting distracted."

"Me too." His eyes flew wide upon his admission. "Uh," he immediately straightened, his face red.

She came down a few more steps until she was level with him. Grasping a rung behind her, she leaned forward toward him. "You just need to stop looking so cute," she playfully nudged his bare arm.

"Cute?" He smirked. "If I'm cute, what's that make you?"

"The Wildfire?" She shrugged.

His mouth pinched tight as he spoke from the corner of his lips. "'Cause... 'cause you're hot?"

She puffed out a laugh, her face flushed. "Wait, what?"

"Yeah," he grinned while chewing his bottom lip. "Though, beautiful's more like it."

"Hudson," she attempted a protest with an almost embarrassed chuckle.

"Yeah?" He said, remaining in place as she leaned closer to him.

She took advantage of their similar heights to catch him in a kiss. She attempted to pull away shortly after, but it only coaxed him closer.

His lips parted in longing as he lingered near her.

The yearning deep within her had grown unbearable. She looked into his eyes, observing him almost painfully.

In one movement, they pulled together, clinging to each other with heated intensity...

Don't look now, but in "Westfall," Gemini and Hudson get *ahem* MUCH closer.

I've been writing/tweaking random bits from across the story, and one of them was this steamy scene in an already steamy mechanic shop. Their budding relationship has been largely a secret up until this point, but, of course, in the middle of this very heated kiss, they are comically interrupted :D
