Don't disturb the ladybug
Sleepin' by the spider's web
And if you see a butterfly
Don't try to catch it in your net
It's taken such a long, long time
To make this very special place
Open up your soul and mind
To all it has to say
Everybody sees a part
Of what this life can really be
No one sees like you can see
When you let your mind flow free
The wind is blowin' through the trees
A song that everyone can learn
And God is playin' hide-and-seek
Every where you turn
Be still, take it in a while
Feel the sunshine warm upon your face
You'll feel when it makes you smile
Like you're welcomed to the human race...
~Captain & Tennille, Ladybug
In as much as I listen to this genre of music, I admit I'd never heard this song until my choir started practicing it. It's quite lovely! The music is pretty, the arrangement we're doing is particularly beautiful, and the words are very meaningful.
I also had just started writing a new scene for "Westfall" where Gemini (though still nameless) has her first moment back out in the sun after being trapped in space for a few years. She hears birds, feels the warmth of the sun and the breeze on her skin, smells the grass... and when I heard this song, I knew what I had to draw :)
William is right there with Gemini for much of this section, gently supporting her and patiently waiting for her to come around and open up, and he shares a few moments of sunshine with her. He's her first close friend in Westfall, so I also knew I needed to include him in this drawing.
(Also had to include a ladybug, a butterfly, and a spider's web ;) )
"Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
